Earthquake relief and rehabilitation fund..

As the 7.9 M scale earthquake rocked Nepal in the mid-day of April 25 the aftermath was devastating. This earthquake is largest in many decades which causes more than 8000 lives and about 15000 injured. It also destroyed hundreds of historical sites and monuments. It also completely destroyed more than 200,000 houses and partially damage more than 100,000 houses. Altogether 13,000 classes of about 950 schools are completely destroyed and more than 11,000 classes are partially destroyed. It is a huge loss of lives and property.

Now, this is a perfect time to take philanthropic action. The government of Nepal is doing best as possible in helping people and distributing relief material but still many victims are yet to be helped. The very remote locations of our country and corruption from some officials have contributed to slow actions. So, I suggest you all to help your community by individually raising funds. At least one individual must stand up from each community to help their place and community.
If you see the faces of the victim and listen to their problems you will not be able to hold your tears. All the efforts and money they put to build their houses was in vain in seconds. Now they have nothing left but hope. They have hope that humanity is still alive and people will support them. Now they need our help more than ever.

I am Ram Krishna from Aachhana, VDC, Dhading which is 150 km away from capital city Kathmandu which is also one of the most damaged and remote area. I am standing up to raise funds and relief material for my community where there are about 25 houses completely destroyed which make 200 people homeless. There is also high chance of epidemic in this community due to dead animals killed by earthquake. The vicinity has already been polluted and now people are lacking toilets too. The only school providing education to our village was completely destroyed. Whole village needs the medicine, drinking water, tents, toilet, and food which are basic among others.
I want to raise fund for my community which will be used for sustainability. The funds received will be used in following way.

25 Temporary houses before monsoon
All the houses are completely destroyed in our community so temporary houses are needed immediately because permanent houses will take time to build. Each temporary houses will cost about $1000 which will protect them from rain, wind, and diseases brought by monsoon. Temporary houses are at the top priority because permanent houses will be very difficult to build in monsoon.

25 Toilet
All the toilets are destroyed with the houses so people are using open spaces for toilet which causes the fear of epidemic and flu. So, toilet is must important to keep the community clean and for people’s health. We plan to build 25 toilet in the community.

1 School
There was only one school in our community providing education to whole village which is also badly damaged. To reconstruct the school the estimation is about $50,000 which includes 70 classes, 1 library, 10 toilets, and computer lab.
1 Health camp
The Village also needs a health facility and regular check-up for both human and animal. So we plan to establish a heath camp with 2 doctors and 5 nurses and 1 vet doctor. The health camp will consist the basic medicine and also for epidemics. It will cost about $15,000. This cost also includes the food and shelter for volunteer medical personnel.
